Friday Five with Matthew Hufft

Based in Kansas City, Missouri, Hufft Projects is a design collective made up of architects, artists, designers, and craftsmen, all with different backgrounds, expertise, and experience. It’s Co-Founder and Creative Director, Matthew Hufft, launched the studio 10 years ago as a way of bringing a holistic approach to design, along with quality craftsmanship in the modern world. Hufft received his Bachelors degree from the University of Kansas and went on to get a Masters degree from Columbia University. Since then, he’s become LEED Accredited and licensed in Missouri, Kansas, and New York. Hufft himself has been head architect on over 100 architectural projects that range from $20,000 to $60 million. Since its inception, he’s made sure the company always focuses on the clients’ needs and brings their varied design know-how to the plate every time, all while mixing up their design process as necessary for that project. For this week’s Friday Five, Hufft shares a sampling of things he loves, including clothing, design, and machinery.
